Mark your calendars for these events coming up.
Recent updates to keep you in the loop.
On August 5, 1956, 33 people met for worship in a small, rented building on Webster St. Most of these people came from Bethel Baptist Church in downtown Anaheim. They came with a plan to start a new ministry here in west Anaheim. While some of the names may be familiar, like Fischer, Hartmann, and Leuschner; most of them are just names on a list. Yet together they worked diligently to glorify God and establish a ministry that has blessed our community and world for 70 years.
January 17, 2026:
Psalm 27:14 says, “Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!”
While this is a wonderful verse - and deep and rich thought, I have to admit that I don’t like to wait. Now in this verse the word “wait” talks about putting our hope or trust in God, not necessarily about a length of time … but the reality is that it often does mean that our timing is different than God’s perfect timing.
Well, that is an odd way to start an update on construction and remodeling. But that is where we are. We wait on God’s timing. So while we did complete our small Fischer restroom work, you can see that we have not yet started the major projects – we wait.
Click on the link below for a fuller update, but suffice it to say we continue working with the city, architect, and engineers on elements of the plan and will begin “pretty soon!”
