Background
The MBC Community Presence Ministry Area was launched in 2014 by Nathan Zug under the direction of
Pastor Jeremy Bratcher. In 2021, Nathan transitioned from Full Time CP Pastor to Part Time CP Pastor,
allowing him to focus on the growth of JMh, a Non-Profit Organization linked to and based at MBC.
Transition
In 2024, the MBC Leadership cast the Vision for an MBC Facility update to host “One Church with Multiple Congregations.” As the MBC Leadership pursues the vision of “One Church, Multiple Congregations” over the next several years, Nathan believes it is a great time for a 3-year Plan to both grow and transition the MBC CP Ministry Area to an MBC CP Leadership Team and to a new Leader.
CP Mission Statement:
“MBC Community Presence provides the MBC community with opportunities to love West Anaheim
(and the surrounding areas) in the name of Jesus through acts of kindness and service that create
relational frameworks for evangelism and discipleship.”
2025 Focus Areas:
1. Continue supporting the neighborhood bag movement (loving neighbors through gift giving to
build relationships).
2. Support and encourage people to join in activities, projects and programs that support the CP
Mission.
3. Continue the MBC Pantry. The CP Deacons are committed to support the MBC Pantry and to
make adjustments as needed.
4. Provide support for projects and programs as God leads.
5. Support the NAB Youth Gathering 2025 (July 13-18) with MBC CP Intern and CP Team.
