I know a lot of the pictures look the same as they work on plumbing and electrical in our hall and kitchen, but it was another week of good progress. At this point the main plumbing is complete and next week they will start framing the walls (so things will start looking like a building again).
Good News - our water filtration company came out this week to coordinate with the plumbers on where the equipment will go. Yes, you read that right, water filtration. We will have commerial LifeSource Water System filtering the water for the kitchen (no more carrying jugs of water from Mike and Leslee's house to make coffee!). However, it will be for the entire kitchen, not just coffee service.
Sad News - the plumber also scoped out our sewer line all the way past the bathrooms in the children's wings. The results were ... well, it is 70 year old plumbing! We will flush and ream them out to try to get them better (especially since they will also service the new bathrooms). We are also considering relining them, which of course is more costly, but may serve us best in the future. Pray for the team as they consider the options.
Finally - we discussed last week that some extra work we need to do is install new high voltage lines from the city box to our switchgear. This will involve sawcutting our main driveway. We are still getting bids on the work, so most likely we wont be doing this right away, but we should have all the information, including schedule, in the next week - we will update you then!
As far as the schedule goes, it will be tight to get everything in the hall and kitchen done in the next month, but our contractor and us are moving ahead as fast as we can!
