September 7th: Dr. Sean McDowell

Sean is an Associate Professor in the Christian Apologetics program at Talbot School of Theology, Biola University. Sean is the co-host for the Think Biblically podcast, which is one of the most popular podcasts on faith and cultural engagement

He graduated from Talbot with a double Master’s in Theology and Philosophy. He earned a Ph.D. in Apologetics and Worldview Studies from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Sean is the author, co-author, or editor of over twenty books including Set Adrift (with John Marriott), Evidence that Demands a Verdict (with Josh McDowell), Is God Just a Human Invention? (with Jonathan Morrow) and Understanding Intelligent Design (with William A. Dembski). His latest book is End the Stalemate. In 2020, Sean married his high school sweetheart, Stephanie. They have three children.

November 29 and 30th: Dr. Scott Stripling

Scott is the Director of Excavations for the Associates for Biblical Research at ancient Shiloh.  He earned his Ph.D. in Archaeology and Biblical History.  He serves as Provost and Director of the Archaeological Institute at The Bible Seminary in Katy, TX. He contributed articles to The Harvest Handbook of Bible Lands (2019) and wrote a chapter for Five Views on the Exodus (Zondervan 2021). The Trowel and the Truth (Vision 2017) serves as a textbook for several universities.  Forthcoming publications include a chapter in Archaeology, John, and Jesus (Eerdman’s 2024) and the archaeological supplement for the revised Open Study Bible (Harper Collins 2024).  Scott and his wife, Janet, have four children and seven grandchildren.
