Hearts on Fire

How are we formed into the image of Christ? Paul wrote this to the Galatians: "…my little children, for whom I am again in the anguish of childbirth until Christ is formed in you!" So, in Paul's mind, at least for this group, spiritual formation is a painful process. 
As we approach the end of the gospel of Luke, this week we will examine the passage of Jesus appearing to the two disciples  on the road to Emmaus. Luke alone includes this post-resurrection appearance and as we look closely at this encounter I believe we find principles for our own spiritual formation.
