Construction Update

The 1-minute read:

• Fischer Bathroom Remodel: We are done with the first phase of work, leaving just one set of bathrooms (first floor west-end) to be done at a later date.  Note that this first-floor area is served by the new bathrooms in the center of the building (so plan on using those).
• Hall/Kitchen: We passed electrical inspections and are now closing walls and filling in holes.  We are still pushing to get the hall done by end of the month.
• Electrical Upgrade: We will be installing a new line from the city power to our main electrical box – so next week, starting 7/21, they will be trenching all across our front lawn – including across our main driveway.  The driveway will be open but limited at times as they work on one side or the other.  The back gate on Velare will be open during the day.
• Sanctuary / Children’s Wing / Hall Bathrooms: This start date is still TBD and at least 45 days away, as we go through the various planning and building permit processes.
• Handicapped parking: We realigned our handicapped parking in accordance with the latest regulations.  There are now four spaces across the drive aisle and four adjacent to the courtyard. They are well marked – both with paint and signs.
• Workday: Saturday August 1^st, we plan to spend a few hours cleaning up and organizing.  There are both simple as well as hard tasks, so the more hands the merrier!
