If you stopped by today, you probably noticed we started filling in and concreting the driveway. While this is good news, it also means some adjustments over the next week or so. Here is the bottom line:
- Between now and Sunday morning, the north half of the driveway will be closed. The concrete will finish pouring tomorrow, however, we cannot drive on it while it cures, so the north half will remain closed until early Sunday Morning.
- Sunday (9/6), the driveway will open early, well before service times. At that point, half will be concrete and half will still have the steel plates on it—but all of it can be driven on normally.
- Monday (9/7) is a holiday, no work is scheduled. Drive way will remain fully open.
- Tuesday (9/8), the south half will be closed for a few hours while they prep that area. When they finish, they will put on the steel plates and the driveway will be fully open.
- Wednesday (9/9), no work is planned, and the driveway will be fully open (though it will be half concrete and half steel plates).
- Thursday (9/10), they will close the south half of the driveway to pour the concrete. Again, due to the cure time, the south half of the driveway will be closed until late Saturday or early Sunday morning.
I say all this with a fair level of confidence, but given the past few months' track record of water lines, electrical issues, inspector changes, and many other problems that have popped up, I can only promise to keep you updated if anything changes. Seriously, I apologize for the inconvenience. I know this makes it difficult to get in and out, especially for evening groups. The back exit onto Velare St is open during the day to help with traffic.
